計程車運輸提供民眾方便、迅速、舒適與服務到家之服務,但若管理不善,非但乘客得不到應有的服務,且將形成社會治安上的隱憂。為提高計程車服務水準,利用計費表之附加功能,發揮費率管理、駕駛人資格管制與服務品質監控,實有必要。IC卡除具有記憶容量大、耐用與使用年限長、處理速度快、可靠性高等優點外,更因具備邏輯判斷與數字運算功能,可達到多層次資料取用之控管能力,對防止卡片被偽造冒用、資料內容被篡改等安全問題更具有極佳之保護能力。本研究針對計程車計費表功能需求加以分析,並應用IC卡技術於計程車計費表管理服務效能,期望能夠達到精進計費功能、縮短行政程序、加強防弊、自動辨識駕駛人身分、記錄行車營運資料等目的。
Taxis provide convenient, fast, comfortable, and door-to-door services. But if ill-managed, passengers would be not only able to obtain the desired services, taxis could also become a social issue on crime. In order to enhance the level of service of taxis, it is necessary to utilize the extended functions of the taximeter to improve fare management, driver qualification control, and service quality monitoring. IC-cards have the merits of high memory capacity, high durability, long life expectancy, high processing speed, and high reliability. In addition, IC-cards have the capabilities to perform logic operations and numeric calculations, control multi-layered data retrieval, as well as protect against counterfeiting and data tampering. This study focuses on analyzing the functional requirements of taximeters and the performance efficiencies of IC-card applications to taximeters. The objective of studying IC-card taximeters is in anticipation of its potential to increase meter accuracy, reduce administrative processing time, automate driver identification, and record operational data.
