號誌化路口群組劃分之研究

A Study on Signal Grouping for Signalized Intersections

摘要


電腦化號誌時制設計之步驟依序為資料蒐集、控制區域與群組劃分、時相選擇、時制產製、時制評估及時制執行等。不過,國内外各類電腦號誌控制軟體大部份均著重於最佳化時制的產製,而對於時制設計過程中最重要且最根本之群組劃分與控制區域劃分問題,卻鮮有深入探討。由於控制區域與群組劃分為電腦號誌系統規劃及設計之首要工作,而一般交通工程師,因缺乏一套客觀之評選標準,因此大多僅憑其本身經驗加以專業判斷。是故本研究乃分析控制區域與群組劃分之影響因素,進而建立定性及定量劃分準則、劃分流程及蒐尋方法,以使劃分後之號誌群組及控制區域能眞正達到最佳控制績效的目標。為判定本研究群組劃分結果之績效,本研究使用TRANSYT-7F及TRAF-NETSIM分別求得不同方案之最佳時制計畫及實際路網整體績效值,結果顯示本研究之群組劃分方法具有良好之控制績效。

Computerized traffic signal design is composed of several steps: road network survey, traffic survey, signal grouping, control area determination, phasing design, timing design, and signal performance evaluation. In the past years, most of the research efforts were made on signal timing design. Little attention has been paid to signal grouping and control area determination, although such issues have great effects on the optimization of computerized traffic signal design. The objective of this research is to develop a methodology for signal grouping and control area determination. Qualitative guidelines and quantitative thresholds are established to employ these factors. A case study of urban arterial signal design is presented. TRAF-NETSIM and TRANSYT-7F is used to show the performance of a traffic control system with different ways of signal grouping. Effectiveness of the proposed methodology is confirmed due to these experiments.
