農學院學生專利資訊素養建構:課程設計與實踐

The Construction of Patent Information Literacy for Agricultural College Students: Curriculum Design and Teaching Practice

摘要


臺灣面臨農業轉型及發展智慧農業的需求,需要跨領域資訊問題解決能力及跨學科研發創新能力的人才,而專利資訊文獻能提供全球各技術領域發展現況,作為技術研發的情報資訊,然目前技術背景專業學生專利情報意識薄弱,更缺乏專利基礎知識與專利檢索能力,為改善此現象,本文以農學院一門跨領域專利分析課程為例,綜整資訊素養四大框架及回顧國內外專利分析範疇,在理論基礎下提出「專利檢索與分析模組課程」及「專利資訊素養類型」,依據問題解決模式導入課程模組,並融入農產業所涉及的創新特色設計課程內容,建構學生多元專利資訊素養。歷經三年教學實踐,透過歷年學生反饋、教師反思、記錄教學現場,揭示農學院學生學習分析與運用專利資訊的成效。綜合學生總結報告及反饋問卷,發現學生在「專利法律基礎知識素養」、「技術資訊蒐集與萃取素養」、「專利資料檢索素養」、「專利資訊分析素養」及「專利情報解讀與應用素養」等專利資訊素養之建構均有成效。此外,建議未來有意利用本研究開發之專利分析教案,需考量跨領域及跨學科之教師及業師團隊,依學生學科專業調整課程內涵,以培養符合實務產業需求的研發人才。

For Taiwan's agricultural transformation and smart agriculture development to succeed, industry will need talented people who can solve interdisciplinary information problems and exhibit cross-disciplinary innovation and Research and Development (R&D) capabilities. Patent documents can provide intelligence information for R&D and explore the status of the technology development around the world. Students in science and engineering, however, do not have adequate knowledge of patent information or skills in patent search. The purpose of this research is to design an interdisciplinary course in patent analysis at the College of Agriculture in order to address this problem. We proposed a curriculum structure based on "patent retrieval and analysis instructional modules" and "patent information literacy types" that is based on an analysis of reviewing and integrating four major information literacy frameworks. Using a problem-solving model, we developed a curriculum structure to build students' diversified knowledge of patents and designed a course with innovative agricultural industry content. By analyzing data collected from student feedback, teacher's reflective practice and teaching portfolio over three years, learning improvements were seen in analyzing and using patent information among students in "basic knowledge literacy of patent law," "technical information collection and extraction literacy," "patent information retrieval literacy," and "patent information interpretation and application literacy." In addition, results suggest that lecturers should form an interdisciplinary teaching team in order to adjust curriculum design to cultivate R&D researchers based on industry demands.
