青少年知覺母親教養行為與其自我揭露之探討

The Relationships between Adolescent Perceptions of Maternal Parenting Practices and Self-disclosure

摘要

本研究主要目的是探討青少年知覺母親教養行為與自我揭露的現況及其關聯的情形。研究對象為就讀彰化市、彰化縣、台南市、屏東縣等四所國民中學七、八、九年級的在學學生，且母親為目前主要教養者，有效樣本為697人。本研究結果發現，在現況方面，青少年知覺母親一半時間以上採用「溫情」、「監督」、「一致性」和「引導」教養行為，偶而採用「嚴厲教養」。在各領域自我揭露方面，「安全」和「學業」領域的自我揭露介於「一半一半」、「大部分會」之間，而「同儕」、「個人感受」領域則接近「一半一半」。青少年在「學業領域」的自我揭露程度最高，其次為「安全領域」，最後為「同儕」和「個人感受」領域。關於青少年知覺母親教養行為與其自我揭露的關聯，青少年越知覺母親採用「監督教養」，其在各領域的自我揭露的程度越高；青少年越知覺母親採用「嚴厲教養」，其在「學業」、「同儕」、和「個人感受」領域的自我揭露的程度越低；青少年越知覺母親採用「溫情教養」，其在「個人感受領域」的自我揭露的程度越高。本研究結果某種程度呼應社會領域理論的觀點，同時，釐清青少年知覺母親教養行為對不同領域自我揭露的作用，提供理解青少年自我揭露的一些參考。

The main purposes of the present study were to investigate the current states of and the relationships between adolescent perceptions of maternal parenting practices and self-disclosure. The subjects were 697 junior high school students lived in Changhua City, Changhua County, Tainan City or Pingtung County. The results showed, first of all, adolescents perceived their mothers performed an above average frequency of "warmth", "monitoring", "consistency", and "induction reasoning" parenting practices, as well as adolescents rarely perceived their mothers performed "harsh corporal punishment". Moreover, adolescents disclosed fifty-percent or higher level to their mothers about "prudential" and "schoolwork" domains as well as near fifty-percent about "peer" and "personal feeling" domains. The sequence from high to low levels of self-disclosure were "schoolwork domain", "prudential domain", and "peer domain" and "personal feeling domains". As for the effects of adolescent perceptions of maternal parenting practices on self-disclosure, adolescent perceptions of maternal "monitoring" parenting practices had significant positive effects on each domain of self-disclosure. Adolescent perceptions of maternal "harsh corporal punishment" parenting practices had significant negative effects on "schoolwork", "peer" and "personal feeling" domains. Adolescent perceptions of maternal "warm" parenting practices had significant negative effect on "personal feeling" domain. The results of the present study to certain extent supported social domain theory, In addition, the present study tried to clarify the effects of adolescent perceptions of maternal parenting practices on self-disclosure, therefore, the present study might provide some valuable information for understanding adolescent self-disclosure.
