Severe periodontally involved patients frequently have reduced number of natural teeth, acquired malocclusion and bite collapse, that the remaining dentition is prone to trauma from occlusion and impaired oral hygiene maintenance. Orthodontic treatment is beneficial for those patients because of better alignment of dentition, easier oral hygiene performance and improved esthetics. Correction of mesial tipped periodontal compromised teeth demands extra anchorage control to improve efficiency of uprighting and prevent movement of related teeth. This article presents two cases of severe advanced periodontitis with progress of full mouth reconstruction. Oral examinations disclosed the patients have mesial tipping teeth and will receive orthodontic uprighting therapy. Due to lack of strong distal anchorage the mini-screws were installed as an anchorage for orthodontic treatment on the distal edentulous ridge. Clinical results showed the mesial tipped abutments were uprighted in months. Using mini-screws as an anchorage can provide an efficient orthodontic tooth movement which is beneficial in periodontal-prostheses reconstruction.
