論臺灣文字媒體對王貞治的形塑（1964-1980年）

本文以臺灣戰後被譽為三大報之《聯合報》、《中國時報》、《中央日報》等報紙及王貞治本人之回憶錄為核心，探討戰後被臺灣政府及媒體形塑為愛國華僑的王貞治，從媒體如何注意到王貞治其人、王貞治訪臺所造成的影響、其婚姻所形成之糾葛、與讀賣巨人隊一同訪臺到其成為世界全壘打王之過程，過程中媒體是如何一步步將其形塑為愛國華僑，也探討其在當時國家外交及宣傳上所扮演之角色，最後再從回憶錄中探討其本人對愛國華僑這件事情之想法。
