Jiang-wu, also known as the Da-jiao, Iao-yue, Yue-wu, Yue-shi, refers to the ancient military training and parade activities aimed at showing the martial spirit of the country. This article discusses the implementation of Jiang-wu in the Sui and Tang Dynasties, and wants to understand the development of the military ceremony of Jiang-wu in the Middle Ancient. The Jiang-wu in the Sui Dynasty was to promote national prestige in war and diplomacy. The Jiang-wu in the Tang Dynasty also had a strong political significance to demonstrate national power and declare imperial power.In addition, the types and rituals of Jiang-wu recorded in "Ta-Tang Kai-yuan Li", included the "Zhou Li"and the etiquette of Jiang-wu since the Northern and SouthernDynasties.
