The main purpose of this article is to describe the process of change and how it influences a novice entering into field study. Based on the interaction between the researcher and seven mothers with adolescent autistic children over seven months, the novice's experience and reflections were analyzed through personal notes and thoughts. The themes analyzed in this article include the impressions of the researcher concerning the mothers and the researcher's insights about self-transition, the reconsideration of ethics and the rethinking of methodology. Meanwhile, the researchers also discuss time dimensional themes such as the planning stage, the stage of searching for interview subjects, the completion of the relationship with the interview subjects, and the writing up stage. The results could help professionals to work with mothers like these and their families. (Full text in Chinese)
