醫學院教育評鑑之學生自評-台大試辦經驗

Student Self-Study as Part of Medical Education Accreditation: Experience at National Taiwan University

摘要


目的:台大醫學系系學會透過試辦醫學院教育評鑑之學生自評,以追求更為完善的醫學教育品質。研究方法:以2010年度台大醫學系全體學生為研究對象,於2010年3月27日至4月16日進行線上問卷調查,使用選擇題與開放式問題評估醫學教育之重點議題。問春資料檢測以量性、質性分析法並行,延伸之醫學教育議題透過焦點團體訪談法彙整得出改進策略。結果:共有403位台大醫學生完成學生自評線上問卷,研究結果顯示:台大醫學院教學資源豐富,但學生空間規劃與諮詢管道較不理想,且有部分課程需要整合。系學會繼而進行各議題的焦點團體訪談,並舉辦空間創意設計比賽暨評審會。根據學生自評報告書,院方採納改建學生空間以及加強導師制度的提案,並進行課程整合與刪減計畫。結論:學生自評在醫學院教育評鑑中能扮演重要的角色,於全國各大醫學院系學會有其推行的價值,可考慮納入台灣醫學院評鑑委員會執行訪視評鑑的參考依據。

Medical Student Association (NTUMSA) conducted a student self-study program as part of medical school accreditation with the aim of improving education quality. Methods: Medical students at National Taiwan University College of Medicine (NTUMC) during academic year 2009 were the investigation subjects. The investigation was conducted between March 27th and April 16th; 2010. The survey consisted of a series of multiple-choice and open-ended questions addressing key issues in medical education. Quantitative data and qualitative data from the investigation were analyzed. The areas of weakness identified in the survey were addressed by focus group analysis; which proposed a number of strategies that should result in improvements. Results: A total of 403 medical students at NTUMC filled out the online questionnaire. The results revealed that the learning resources at NTUMC were abundant but the study and dining area for students and provisions in terms of student counseling were insufficient. Based on the results of the survey; a NTUMC student self-study report was compiled. On presentation of the student self-study report; the faculty accepted the proposal to rebuild the student lounge; to strengthen the advisor system and to revise the curriculum. Conclusion: Student self-study can play an important role in the medical school accreditation. It is valuable for medical schools to conduct student self-study and for Taiwan Medical Accreditation Council (TMAC) to take student self-study reports into consideration.
