摘要

東石鄉與布袋鎮，是嘉義縣唯二的兩個沿海鄉鎮。2003年，交通部觀光局成立「雲嘉南濱海國家風景區」，台17線以西的東石沿海地區與布袋沿海地區，自此躍為「國家風景區」。從2012年觀光局所出版的《東石布袋遊憩圖》的摺頁宣傳品中，透露出東石與布袋的賞景轉型。本篇論文企圖分析，在繽紛的動植物、自然景觀與人文古蹟的景點背後，承載著自然與產業的滄海桑田，交織著保育思想的變遷，散發出永續發展與生態旅遊的氣息，以及其間的爭論與概念糾葛。

Dongshih Town and Budai Town are the only two harbor towns of Chiayi County. The tourism bureau established ＂Southwest Coast National Scenic Area＂ in 2003. Since then, the westerly coast areas of highway 17 of Dongshih Town and Budai Town have become the ＂National Scenic Area＂. The advertisement of ＂Tourism Map of Dongshih & Budai＂, published by tourism bureau in 2012, revealed the transformation of views on the scenery appreciation of Dongshih and Budai. This essay attempts to analyze the change of nature, industry, and conservation thought of Dongshih and Budai, and the tangled concepts within the controversies.
