摘要

社會工作者在從事實務的過程中，運用研究方法是專業倫理的要求，而我們服務的使用者也有權利要求獲得有效的處遇，以證據為基礎的實務也符合政府與社會大眾的責信期待。許多學者專家認為實務與研究是可以相互搭配的，而且社會工作者可以同時兼具實務工作者與研究者的角色。但是，不論從消費或生產的角度來看，當前的社會工作確實存在著實務與研究的間隙。兩者之間的落差主要來自於對研究的誤解，認為研究與實務工作無關，而且實務工作者也缺乏組識在技術上與財務上的支持。如果政府、社工專業組織、社會工作機構及社工教育單位能在社會工作再教育多提供研究技術的支持，並提供實務研究成果發表的管道，我們相信能慢慢彌補實務與研究的間隙。

Evaluating practice is one of the primary requirements of social work professional ethics. The service users have the right to receive effective treatments. The evidence-based practice could fulfil the expectations of accountability from the stakeholders, for example, the government and the public. As a matter of fact, many social workers and social work educators have advocated the role of social workers as a 'practitioner/researcher'. However, the gap between practice and research does exist in Taiwan from both the perspectives of research consumer and producer. The gap mainly resulted from some misunderstandings on research and lack of technical and financial supports for the practitioners. If government, professional organisations, social welfare agencies and schools of social work could collaborate to provide technical assistance and opportunities for publications, the gap between practice and research might be mended.
