開創台灣傳統竹藝設計新價值－大禾竹藝工坊玄機盒系列設計研究

摘要

台灣是全球前三大產竹地區之一，竹材不虞匱乏。自先民時期，人們便大量利用竹材製作生活器具。因此，竹子長久以來與台灣人的生活關係密切。台灣的製竹技藝精良，竹加工業曾是台灣重要的傳統產業之一，竹工藝設計製作可說是台灣最具優勢與競爭力的工藝項目之一。在極力提倡自然生態環境保育的今天，竹材被公認是最佳的環保材料之一，也是綠色設計最適合選擇的材料之一。本研究從生活美學角度，透過文獻資料與田野調查，探索沒落已久的台灣傳統竹工藝如何結合現代生活美學設計概念，再創竹藝設計新價值。並以大禾竹藝工坊成功之經典設計——玄機盒系列為例探討。研究結果發現，大禾竹藝工坊的玄機盒系列作品，以先進的層積竹材加工技術、精緻的上漆與材料表面處理，結合中國傳統的榫接技術、巧奪天工的玄機原理，並導入時尚與現代生活美學設計理念，成功打造高附加價值的竹藝設計產品，不僅為台灣傳統竹藝設計的生存開闢出一條新路，也為台灣現代竹藝設計立下一個成功典範。

Taiwan is one of the top three bamboo producing areas in the world, and there is never shortage of bamboo. Since the ancient period, people had used to make a lot of bamboo utensils. Therefore, bamboo has long been closely related with the life of Taiwanese. Taiwanese bamboo craft is sophisticated, and bamboo processing industry had been one of the important traditional industries of Taiwan; thus the bamboo craft design could be one of the most advantageous and competitive crafts. Nowadays, while the conservation of the natural ecological environment has been strongly promoted, bamboo has been recognized as one of the best environmentally friendly materials and one of the most suitable materials in green design.This study, from the perspective of life aesthetics, and through literature and fieldwork, had explored how to combine the long-declining traditional bamboo craft design with the design concepts of modern life aesthetics and create a new value of bamboo art design. And it took the successfully classic design of Bamboola Taiwan, the mystery box series, for example to explore. This study found that the mystery box series of Bamboola Taiwan has the advanced processing technology of laminated bamboo and the exquisite lacquer work and material surface treatment, combined with the traditional Chinese craftsmanship of mortise and the wonderful and intricate mechanical principles, and import the philosophy of fashion and design of modern life aesthetics to successfully create high-value-added bamboo art products. It not only opens up a new path for the survival of the traditional bamboo art design, but also sets a successful example for Taiwan's modern bamboo art design.
