Conflict Resolution Strategies among Hong Kong Chinese Women: Conceptualization and Measurement

This article proposes a framework to measure the conflict resolution strategies employed by Hong Kong Chinese women when they face conflicts or disagreements with their spouses in family purchase decisions. Four resolution strategies, namely power, problem solving, persuasion, and harmonization, are identified from confirmatory factor analysis that shows strong evidence of reliability and validity. Results suggest that the proposed conceptual framework is applicable to the Hong Kong Chinese context.
