摘要

理想矯正治療計劃訂定常受到患者的因素影響而有所妥協。東方人最常見上下顎牙床前突伴隨輕微空間不足亦即所謂Bordline Cases，臨床上可採取拔牙與不拔牙的治療方式，其結果在矯正界一般傳統認知上均認為是可接受的治療結果。事實上測顱分析的數值在不拔牙治療患者中均超出“理想治療結果值”甚多。在現今口腔復健朝牙醫各專科合作方式下，矯正醫師是否對“可接受治療結果”有新的思考模式。(J.Taiwan Assoc.Orthod.14(3):39-46,2002)

Optimal treatment plan is always compromised by patients' factors.The skeletal pattern of double dentoalveolarprotrusion combined with minor space deficiency is very common in the Oriental population.In this kind ofbordline case,it can be treated by extraction or non-extraction plan.Traditionally,the end results with two differentapproaches are both acceptable in general consensus with orthodontists.In fact,the values from cephalometricanalysis in non-extraction group are far away from those treated by optimal treatment plan.Now orthodontists mayhave another point of view towards the standard of acceptable treatment results under interdisciplinary oralrehabitation.(J.Taiwan Assoc.Orthod.14(3):39-46,2002)
