摘要

隨著電腦的普及與日新月異，各行各業均致力於e化，牙科當然也不例外，其中「矯正數位化」即是近幾年來矯正科醫師將e化應用於臨床的重要趨勢之一。然而，除了少數醫師具備有相當的電腦知識外，大部份的醫師均不專長於電腦，因此，如何選擇一個好的工具軟體，便成為首要的課題。一般的消费者心態，均想以最低的價格，購進配備最齊全、功能最強的軟、硬體，卻往往忽略了其“實用性”。試問選購了功能最強、速度最快的硬體，結果只拿來作為打字機的替用品；或購進了功能最齊全的軟體，結果只會使用其中極小部份功能，甚至於因功能太多過於複雜而難以使用，最後甚至棄置不用，反而得不償失，因此“實用性”便成為選取工具軟體的重要守則。

As the computer science is advancing, a lot of professions tend to computerize or digitalize the daily process. In terms of dentistry, computerize is necessary. In recent years, orthodontic digitalization is one of important tendency that motivates orthodontists to apply the computer techniques into clinical in order to improve the quality of dental treatments. However, not every dentist is familiar with the computing skill and knowledge. Thus, choosing a useful instrument and appropriate means becomes extremely important to orthodontists. Most consumers tend to ignore the practicability and usefulness of products when the time comes to decide what to buy. A majority of buyers would just pay a little and get the most powerful and completed computer facilities and software at a lowest price. Apart from that, just few people are able to fully or greatly utilize the functions provided by the hardware or software purchased. Hence, there's a great chance for end users to use a high-speed and powerful hardware and fully functional software to perform things like tape or other simple tasks. It's just not worth it. Therefore, the practicability is the most important principle to select appropriate software. When the time comes to decision making, it is extremely important to precisely measure what the really needs are and how to better meet the requirement s proposed to choose proper facilities at a tolerating price.
