This is a case report of orthodontic extrusion for the implant site preparation. A30 y/o gentleman who's right upper central incisor was a retained root & had insufficient alveolar bone level for implantation, especially on buccal side. At the end of 5 months active orthodontic extrusion, the alveolar bone height on right upper central incisor increased 4 to 5 mm and it was enough for implant placement. After 2 months fixation, implantation was performed and patient is on regular follow up.
