Orthodontists have always longed for predicting the growth of mandible accurately. A precise prediction of mandibular growth would be beneficial for evaluating the prognosis and difficulty of treatment. It also helps to make orthodontic treatment decisions and may influence the long-term stability. This article reviewed a series of research on the prediction of mandibular growth to provide references for clinical implementation.
