Many devices have been developed in treatment of a Class Ⅱ malocclusion without extraction and show positive clinical results. However, almost all the appliances need patient compliance and show adverse reciprocal effects. More recently, miniscrews and miniplates have been developed specifically for use in orthodontics. With the use of miniscrews and miniplates as anchorage, the distal movement of the whole dentition without these problems has become possible. The purpose of this study was to quantify the treatment effects from cephalometric measurements between nonextraction and nonextraction with miniscrews. In addition, we can understand more about what condition is each preferable.
