Developing students' life skills through health and physical education (PE) is one important goal of the "Curriculum Guidelines for 12-year Basic Education." Exercise is an important platform for learning multiple life skills, which are abilities that enable individuals to deal with the tasks and challenges of daily life. The further transfer and application of life skills learned through physical education to daily life is also an important goal for the development of sports education on an international level. The purpose of this discussion of life skills transfer through sports is to examine its development and effectiveness and understand its current research status through a review of the relevant literature. Results reveal four key findings: 1. Most research focuses on adolescents. 2. The research primarily draws on interviews and narrative analysis as an inductive method to analyze and summarize the data. 3. Research designs were focused on long-term courses. 4. School PE courses, sports teams, and sports clubs are all settings that can facilitate the development and transfer of life skills. In conclusion, the transfer of life skills via sports is a new direction of sports education academic research, and the strategy of integrating life skills transfer into the curriculum of physical education courses can be promoted and developed in Taiwan.
