摘要

本文延續上一期「護理人員擔任醫院決策者之優勢」座談會之現任副院長座談會，係由聯新雜誌社張瀞文社長（壢新醫院副院長）發起，邀請部分曾任副院長的護理人員於2008年7月9日下午舉行座談。由張瀞文字土長與長榮大學護理學系陳彩鳳副教授共同主持，邀請：周照芳（現任醫策會顧問）、黃璉華（現任台灣大學護理系主任、護理學會理事長）、陳玉枝（現任台北榮民總醫院護理部主任），以自身的經驗一起座談，目的在分享（一）護理人員擔任醫院決策之優勢（二）在決策過程中，能否以護理人員身份發揮關鍵性的影響力（三）在此職位中，遭遇過之困境及解決方法（四）護理人員擔任副院長要如何培育（五）護理人員擔任副院長是曇花一現或是未來趨勢（六）護理人員擔任副院長，基層人員是否感受不同（七）給未來擔任決策者之護理人員建議。以下就三位護理前輩之經驗做重點資料整理，與讀者分享。

In medical organizations, nurses play multiple roles and take on significant responsibilities in the coordination of integrated patient care. In a nursing management position such as charge nurse, nurse supervisor, assistant director, or director of nursing, the individual must not only be knowledgeable and capable of practicing a nursing profession, but also fully accountable in business administration, such as customer services, work force, quality care and service, assets and medical equipment, capital and expenses, and medical information system. Throughout various departments of a hospital, experienced nurse leaders play multifaceted roles.
The seminar, ”urses Play a Major Role in the Decision-Making of Hospital Affairs” was held in July 9, 2008, hosted by Mr. Jing-Wen Zhang, Vice-President of the Landseed Hospital, and Ms. Thai-Form Chen, Associate Professor, School of Nursing, the Chang Jung Christian University.
The purpose of the seminar was to share (1) the advantage of nurses as part of decision- makers in hospital administration,(2) whether the nurse leader has significant influence on the process of decision-making, (3) the difficulties the nurse leader, in the position of vice-president, encountered and the resolutions of those difficulties, (4) what leadership development skills are necessary to be competent in the position of the vice-president, (5) is it temporary or a future trend in using a nurse leader as the vice-president, (6) the frontline nurses' perceptions about the nurse leader in the position of the vice-president of the hospital, and (7) suggestions to those potential decision-makers of the hospital.
