This report is intended to study the psychological influence and physiological impact of an amyotrophic lateral sclerosis patient in an Intensive Care Unit setting. From 2008, January 25 2008-March 6, using the Roy adaptation model, we assessed an Amy-tropic Lateral Sclerosis patient for his health related problems and confirmed the existence of these main problems Ineffective airway clearance. Impaired verbal communication. Preanticipat-ed grieving. Other then providing the patient with basic nursing care, using non-verbal communicating meth and compassionate support to encourage the patient to express his feeling. Assist the family (his wife) to overcome the grieving reaction, Encourage the family and the patient make a life review, lead ng the family to company the patient passing through the last journey of his life peacefully. Hereby, we presented a case of a patient with Amyotropic Lateral Sclerosis in Intensive Care Unit experience.
