護生關懷照護行為養成之經驗探討

An Experience of Cultivating Caring Behaviors for Nursing Students

摘要


「關懐」是護理教育的重要核心理念,須在護理教育中被培養。本文旨在探討護生培養關懷照護行爲之經驗。採質性研究法,運用立意取樣法,共選取十四位完成基護實習之五專護生爲研究對象,以半結構式訪談指引進行資料收集,訪談内容全程録音,轉成逐字稿後,再以內容分析法進行資料分析與歸納。研究結果顯示,護生關懷照護行爲養成之經驗分爲三大主題,分別爲:(一)關懷照護概念之培養:體驗被關懷之感動、教師對待病患視病猶親之身教、課程中關懷照護因子之培育;(二)關懷照護行爲之展現:及時滿足病患身體的舒適、適時提供病患心理支持;(三)意想不到的自我成長。護生的關懷照護行爲之養成受教師角色模範的影響,護生藉由教師對病患的關懷,內化自我對關懷照護之觀點。護生於提供自己滿足病患的照護過程中,體驗到被充能與被關懷的感受。此外本研究結果有助於教師了解護生關懷照護行爲養成的經驗。

Caring is an important core value for nurses and nursing students and it must be cultivated through nursing education. The purpose of this research explores cultivation of caring behaviors of nursing students. This study used a qualitative research design and purposive sampling. The subjects were fifth-year nursing students who had completed clinical practice in fundamental nursing. 14 data sets were collected through semi-structured interviews and tape-recording. The data were analyzed and categorized into three major themes to describe the nursing students' experience of nurturing caring behaviors: (1) developing the concept of caring through care experiences, faculty role-modeling, and the nursing curriculum; (2) exhibiting caring behaviors by providing physical comfort and emotional support, and (3) developing self-growth and a professional attitude. In general, the caring behaviors of nursing students were influenced by their role model faculty. Nursing students' concept of caring is cultivated through the faculty's caring interactions with patients. Through the process of satisfying patient needs, nursing students experience the feeling of caring and being cared for. In addition, this project helps faculty understand the nursing students' learning experience of cultivating caring behaviors.
