摘要

本研究目的為探討使用居家服務失能老人生活品質的現況以及相關因素，研究採橫斷式設計，對象取自台中市七家區域性居家服務中心，正在使用居家服務的65歲以上失能老人，總共收案255位。研究工具採結構性問卷，生活品質的量表「台灣簡明版世界衛生組織生活品質問卷」。研究樣本生活品質總平均為45.41分（總分80分），在多元迴歸分析的結果顯示：整體迴歸模式可以解釋生活品質大約23%的變異情形，失能長者的收入、福利身份別、工具性日常生活功能、居家服務員的年資等因素達統計上的顯著，其中以收入最具解釋力。故建議政府應採取明確措施協助強化照顧服務員的專業效能及居家服務的品質，並重新評估失能老人的經濟需求，在政策上（如國民年金的開辦）以強化他們的生活品質。

The purpose of this study is to examine the quality of life and its determinants in a group of elders using home helper services. Employing a cross-sectional design, the researcher collected data from 255 elders using services provided by home care agencies in Tai-Chung City. A structured questionnaire with WHO version of the Quality of Life was administered to the participants. The means of QOL for this sample is 45.41. The result of Ordinary Least Square regression analysis indicated that income, social welfare status, instrumental activities of daily living, and years in the services as home helpers were significantly associated with quality of life. Therefore, it would be plausible for the public sectors to act to enhance the professional skills and efficacy of home helpers. This study also proposes a reappraisal of dependent elders' economic needs to upgrade their quality of life by establishing social security program.
