The purpose of this study was to investigate the exercise behavior of the college students, and to explore its relationships among demographic characteristics, exercise health belief, social supports for exercise and the utilization of school's sport resources. The subjects were the students at an institute of technology in eastern Taiwan. By using a cluster sampling method, 284 of valid samples were collected with a self-administrated questionnaires. The results indicated that social supports for exercise, exercise health belief and the utilization of school's sport resources were the main factors of exercise behavior. Also, there was a finding that the male students got higher scores in exercise behavior, exercise health belief and social support for exercise than the female students did. The results of this study will be useful in the development of a school health program.
