學齡前兒童家長實施幼童近視防治行爲與其相關因素研究

The Relevant Factors of Parents' myopia-preventive Behavior on Preschool Children's Vision Care

摘要


本研究旨在瞭解國內學齡前兒童家長的幼童近視防治行為及其相關因素,以提供推動學齡前兒童近視防治工作之參考。研究對象為台灣地區就讀於公私立幼托園所之幼童家長,以自填式結構問卷為研究工具進行橫斷式調查研究,先分層比例抽樣取得2200人為樣本,其中有效問卷為1572份。結果:(1)研究對象的近視防治知識不足,答對率僅11.9%;(2)研究對象的居住地區、年齡、教育程度、幼童近視防治的社會支持網路、知識、態度及行為間有密切相關;(3)研究對象的年齡、近視防治社會支持網絡、知識與態度是幼童近視防治行為的重要預測變項,可解釋總變異量之38.5%。(4)當近視防治社會支持網絡、知識與態度越正向時,就會有好的近視防治行為表現。建議:政府應繼續加強學齡前幼童家長之近視篩檢結果辨識之宣導,督促學校及眼科診所對家長提供近視防治相關資訊,提升其兒童近視防治態度,鼓勵家長積極實踐幼童近視防治行為。

The main purpose of this study is to investigate parents' myopia-preventive behavior on preschool children, detect relevant factors, and promote suggestions for the follow-up. Subjects of the research were parents whose children studied in public and private kindergartens in Taiwan. In this cross-sectional study, 2200 parents were chosen by stratified proportional sampling method and surveyed by a self-administered structured questionnaire in 2009. Of all questionnaires completed, 1572 were effective.The major findings of the study were as follows:a) Parents' knowledge of vision care was not sufficient. The accuracy rate was only 11.9%.b) There was a significant correlation between multiple factors-parents' resident place, age, education, attitude, children's age, social support networks-and myopia-preventive behavior on children.c) Age, social support networks, knowledge and attitude of children's vision care were crucial predictors of myopia-preventive behavior. They can explain 38.5% of the total variance.d) Parents who had children over 5, advocated social support networks and received higher scores in knowledge and attitude questions performed better in children vision care.Suggestions: Based on the findings, the researcher suggests that the government disseminate knowledge of children vision care, emphasize the interpreting of eyesight screening result and eyesight treatment, urge schools and clinics to provide parents with information of myopia prevention, enhance their attitude toward vision care, and encourage their involvement in myopia-preventive behavior.
