基因轉殖作物之發展與規範

The Development and Regulation of Transgenic Crops

摘要


全球基因轉殖作物研發的主要目標為:(一)改進農產品生產品質與穩定性,以及降低農業生產成本,(二)提供開發中國家與消費者可獲得更高營養價值之產品,(三)降低對生態環境之衝擊,(四)增加可提供之醫藥及疫苗材料。至今全球已有超過100種的商業化基因改造作物上市。為確保基因改造作物不至於對生態環境或人類健康造成負面影響,這些轉基因植物必須通過嚴格的生物安全評估與監控。另外,鑒於基因改造作物標示、(如歐盟或日本)的需求,基因改造作物必須針對外來導入的基因予以鑑定與評估。目前基因改造作物鑑定的方法包含聚合酵素連鎖反應(PCR)、酵素連結免疫吸附分析法(ELISA)以及生物晶片等,均可助益於基因改造作物之鑑定與管制。

It is recommend that global transgenic crop research and development on the future will be concentrated on: (1) Improving stability and quality of production and reducing extensive agriculture, (2) giving more nutritional benefits to the developing countries and consumers, (3) reducing the eco-environmental impacts, and (4) increasing the availability of pharmaceuticals and vaccines. Nowadays, over one hundred genetic modified (GM) crops had being commercialized and brought to market. For ensuring the application of these GM products in agriculture or food products have no additional negative effects on environment or any adverse effects on human's health, the application of these transgenic crops have to under control and pass the rigid evaluations of bio-safety. Regard for certain mandatory labeling laws (such as: EU or Japanese market), GM crops also need to be identified and surveyed the introduced DNA which expressed novel protein that encoded by the introduced gene. Currently, PCR methods (including: nest PCR, real- time PCR etc.) or ELISA or Biochip analysis is regard as a useful tool for the identification and regulation of GM crops.
