The main objectives of this study found out the suitable condition for in vitro germination of seeds, and observed the development this endangered orchid species, Nervilia plicata. The growth of capsules of N. plicata was fast in the initial phase. The expansion curve seemed parabolic. The capsules harvested at 15 days after pollination were used for the seed asymbiotic germination. Seeds were sowed in a 1/2MS medium containing with 0.5 g/L peptone and 1 g/L Hyponex #1 had the best germination (59.62%) after 90 days dark culture, and with well grown rhizomes and shoot elongation after 270 days cultured.
