番木瓜種子調製及播種前處理對發芽之影響

Effects of Process of Seeds Manufacture and Manner of Sowing on Germination of Papaya Seeds

摘要


本研究目的在探討番木瓜種子採收後,假種皮去除前放置時間、去除假種皮及種子乾燥方法、播種前GA(下標 3)等處理對番木瓜種子發芽之影響。洗去假種皮可提高種子發芽率,但去除假種皮前放置時間超過6天會顯著降低發芽率。以0.05% NaOCl浸泡帶假種皮種子30分或以0.4N鹽酸浸泡2天,不影響其發芽率,但浸泡0.4N鹽酸4天後再洗去假種皮,將降低種子發芽率。不同種子乾燥方法,室內風乾、日曬、25℃及35℃乾燥種子,並不影響種子發芽率,但是以日曬乾燥及25℃低濕乾燥,可提早1天發芽。種子浸水後播種於溫網室發芽率為82%左右,以500 ppm GA(下標 3)浸種並不會提高在溫網室的發芽率。在30℃恆溫箱內,需以GA(下標 3)浸種才能打破休眠順利發芽,冬季以GA(下標 3) 500ppm浸種,經30℃恆溫箱培養5天再播於網室,可縮短在溫網室管理的時間5天,有利於育苗作業。

The objective of this study was to determine how handling procedures and sowing treatments affect the germination rate of papaya seeds. Removing the aril from seed before sowing improved germination of papaya seeds but postpone to remove the aril for 6 days declined the germination rate. Fresh intact seeds soaked in 0.05% NaOCl for 30 minutes or 0.4 N HCl for 2 days did not significantly affect on the germination rate. However, soaked in 0.4 N HCl was more 4 days than those rubbed aril by screen of seeds the germination rate. Seeds drying through moderate wind in room temperature, in the sun, 25℃ and 35℃ separately had no effect on germination rate but dried in the sun and 25℃ could shorten one day for germination. Imbibition with water and sowing in the net house, the percentage of seed germination was about 82%. Soaking with GA(subscript 3) 500 ppm would not enhance seed germination in the net house. In 30℃ incubator, seeds was needed soaking GA(subscript 3) for germination successfully. We presumed the temperature difference between the day and night could affect on breaking dormancy. In winter, soaking seeds with GA(subscript 3) 500 ppm and incubating in 30℃ incubator for 5 days shortened 5 days for taking care of seedlings in the net house.
