冬瓜種子休眠性調查及打破休眠方法之研究

Study the Seed Dormancy and Dormancy Breaking Methods of Wax Gourd (Benincasa hispida Cogn.)

摘要


‘台農2號’冬瓜種子採收後具休眠性,影響栽培持續性。由果實採收成熟度及貯藏期發芽試驗比較,‘台農2號’冬瓜種子授粉後55天及65天採收種子經約200天貯藏後,發芽率分別可達72.22%及94.44%,但經約300天貯藏後,種子發芽率下降。由種子發芽生理研究發現,具休眠性之種子種皮之吸水量大於完整種子及胚,於吸水96小時過程中,吸水2~4小時呈現急速增加,隨即停留在第二階段遲滯期。由呼吸率測定可發現發芽率低之種子呼吸率相對較高,發芽率高之種子則維持低呼吸率,其中胚之呼吸率比完整種子高。導電度變化情形則於浸潤四小時後,不具休眠性之種子導電度維持較低值,具休眠性之種子導電度則持續增加。‘台農2號’冬瓜休眠種子以BA或BA+GA3+KNO3處理發芽率最高可達70%,可有效打破休眠。

Dormancy of 'Tainung 2' wax gourd seed caused the seed production problems. The germination percentage of the seeds after pollinated for 55 days and 65 days and stored for 200 days was 72.22 % and 94.44%, recpectively. The percentage of seed germination was decreased after 300 days of storage. The absorbed water amount of the dormant seed coat was higher than the intact seed and embryo after soaking 96 hours. The respiration rate of the dormant seeds was greater than germinated seeds, especially embryo. Conductivity values showed the germinated seeds had low leakage amount, but the leakage of dormant seed was increased during soaking. The germination percentage of seeds treated by BA or BA+GA+KNO3 was 70%, which could effectively break seed dormancy.
