摘要

辣椒「種苗亞蔬四號」，品系代號為COA258，係於民國96年秋作進行自交系雜交，經過品系觀察試驗、品系比較試驗、區域試驗、抗病性檢定、重要化學成分分析及種子生產等試驗後育成並取得植物品種權之雜交一代品種。該品種係屬於辣椒，中生，雜交一代品種。株型中等，半直立，植株生長強健。果實向下，2心室，果長約15.4公分，果寬約1.6公分，果重約15.7公克。未熟果綠色，成熟果紅色，果皮微軟，微辣。抗馬鈴薯Y病毒病（PVY）及青枯病（BW），於田間觀察對炭疽病具耐病性，為適合於高溫多濕季節栽培之品種。

New hot pepper variety 'TSS-AVRDC No.4' (previously breeding line COA258) was a hybrid first crossed in 2007. After a series of field trials, disease reaction evaluation, main component analysis, seed production, this F1 variety was named and granted with its plant variety right. It had plant medium-sized, semi-upright, and vigorous growth habit. The fruit, growing downwards, had two locules with about 15.4 cm in length, 1.6 cm in width and 15.7g in weight. The immature fruit was green, and turned red in color at maturity with mild soft skin and mild hot. It was resistant to potato virus Y (PVY), bacterial wilt (BW) and tolerance to anthracnose in the field, and suitable for growing season with high temperature and high humidity.
