This paper is dedicated to the comparison of the two writers, F. Dostoevsky and M. Bulgakov, and their three works The Crime and Punishment, Run and The Master and Margarita. It deals with the problem of ”crime” and ”punishment” by analyzing three different characters (Raskolnikov, Khludov, and Pilat), their criminal manner, consciousness of redemption of sins, spiritual and mental suffering, as well as rescue and liberation of soul.
