摘要

本文企圖援引吉哈爾的「擬仿慾望」(mimetic desire)理論閱讀法國作家朱利安．格林的《西奈山宅院》(Mont-Cinère)，探討該小說中的慾望機制。吉哈爾提出的「雙重中介」論述不但可以解釋格林小說中人物慾望「相仿」、「相防」與「相妨」的敵對情結，更可以勾勒出小說人物暴力與慾望複製的關係，進而呈現作家小說創作的個人體悟。

This study aims to interpret the French writer Julien Green's novel Mont-Cinère in light of René Girard's mimetic theory, to investigate the mechanism of desire. Girard's reciprocal mediator theory not only can explain the similarity and the conflict in the personages' desire, but also illustrate the relationship between the violence and the mimetic desire in the novel.
