Sensuality and Its Apoetic Expression in Folastries Ronsard

Pierre de Ronsard owes his status of one of the greatest French writers to his most famous work, Amours, which was inspired by pertrarkism. However the love lyric of the master is not reduced to the model of writing, widely practised in Renaissance. In fact, a new orientation gives birth to the new collection of poetry called Folastries (1553). The current article offers to trace the Ronsard's evolutions. It also shows the main characteristic features of literary genre called folastrie. The article informs about the scandal in Ronsard's literary surroundings caused by the publication of Folastries. Finally, it concentrates on the texts of the collection: their analysis and numerous quotations are to reflect the new concept of Ronsard's sensuality and their literary form. The aim of this contribution is to present unknown aspect of Ronsard writings and prove how diverse they are.
