This corpus-based research aims to explore corpus tools for collocation teaching in Spanish. The analysis is based on the structure of "verb (se) +preposition" used in two textbooks of Nuevo Prisma B1 and Español Lengua Viva 2 (B1 level). Through El Corpus del Español to get a general view of the features of verbal collocations used in Spanish as a natural language as well as their frequency appearance of being used in the texts to observe how the native speakers of Spanish use verbal collocations in written forms. Finally, high frequency collocation sentences are translated from Spanish into Chinese in order to provide students with supplementary learning materials to gain awareness of the use of verbal collocations in reading and writing.
