林衡道與臺灣研究：以其報紙投書為例

摘要

本文透過林衡道在《中央日報》等報的投書、專欄及回憶錄，探討林衡道的臺灣研究有何特性？又是如何呈現於大眾媒體？其個人生命經驗、社會環境如何影響他的臺灣研究？本文指出，林衡道的臺灣研究在報紙上，呈現出與政治環境相連動的情況。1970至1980年代初期，林衡道的臺灣研究，因個人與家族在戰前的親日立場，以及其戰後捲入的政治事件，使得他的研究必需完全服膺於國民黨政權，以免遭到迫害。他的研究大多強調臺灣與中國間的延續關係，有著濃厚的意識形態；到了1980年代中後期，因臺灣政治走入民主化的階段，林衡道臺灣研究的中國色彩遂開始大量消失，甚至出現批判國民黨過去文化政策的情況。由此看出林衡道臺灣研究的轉向，以及與政治相互動之情形。他個人與家族在戰後受到的壓抑，在民主化後的臺灣，透過臺灣研究回頭批判國民黨政權。

Lin Heng-Dao's Taiwan Studies was influenced by the political environment, it's because Lin Heng-Dao and his family was Japanophile before 1945, thus he was needed to service KMT authority in 1970s to the early 1980s, to avoid persecuting by the KMT. His studies has lots of political ideology, which focus on close-knit between Taiwan and Mainland China in the middle 1980s, when Taiwan go into the political democracy, the political ideology in his studies started to diminished, and has started to criticized The KMT's cultural policy in the past. This article to explore of Lin Heng-Dao as an example, to analyze his Taiwan Studies was connected with the politics, and use the ＂United Daily News＂, ＂Central Daily News＂ and other kinds of news as materials. As a result, emphasis will have to explain how his study influence on the media depend on the social environment and his life experience.
