行動裝置之表格介面優化設計研究

Optimization of Table Interfaces Presented on Mobile Devices

摘要


隨著行動上網的普及,行動裝置應用功能不再侷限於資訊瀏覽。搜尋引擎、網路新聞、e-mail、地圖及雲端應用成為行動裝置的常用功能。這些網頁提供的資訊大部分以表格的形式存在,資訊揭露的表格,如火車時刻表、人員資訊、產品規格、考試資訊含報名日期、科目、應考時間等等。這類資料量多的表格在使用者體驗方面手機不如大螢幕電腦裝置良好。為了使大眾在使用行動裝置檢視這類資料量龐大的表格也能有良好的體驗,本研究透過專家會議,針對行動裝置的傳統表格進行優化,再以實驗法做測試,旨在從中找出最適化的表格呈現形式。本研究可分為實作及研究分析兩部分,研究結果顯示:介面設計須包含:視覺設計差異化、資訊檢視簡易化、使用者中心化這三點,方能優化表格的體驗,讓使用者在以表格介面檢視巨量資料時更為清楚。研究分析並證實本研究的優化表格在任務測試上有四項達到顯著差異,操作時間較傳統表格短;在SUS系統使用性尺度量表獲得了代表優良的B等級,較傳統表格的C等級高,證實本研究的優化表格可提供更快速的搜尋功能、更簡易的使用方式。

Because of the popularity of mobile Internet access, applications for mobile devices are no longer limited to information browsing. Search engines, online news, e-mail, maps, and cloud applications have become common functions on mobile devices. Most information provided by these webpages is in the form of tables, and examples of information presented in tables include train schedules, personnel information, product specifications, and examination information such as dates, subjects, and examination times. The user experience of data-intensive tables on mobile phones is not comparable to that on large-screen computer devices. To ensure favorable experiences when users view tables with large amounts of data on mobile phones, this study optimized conventional tables presented on mobile devices by conducting an expert meeting. Experiments were then conducted to determine the most suitable form of table presentation. This research was divided into two sections, namely practical implementation and research analysis. The results indicated that the interface must include visual design differentiation, simplified information viewing, and user-centered design to optimize users' experience of reading tables and enable them to understand large amounts of data in a table interface. In the analysis, the optimized table was significantly different in four aspects in task testing, and the operation time was shorter than that of the conventional tables. On the system usability scale, the optimized table interface attained a B grade (indicating excellence), which was higher than the conventional tables' C grade. This confirmed that the optimized table in this study provided more rapid search functions and improved ease of use.
