Accidental Oropharyngeal Wall Perforation Occurred during Intubation by Using Glidescope® Video Laryngoscope
使用GlideScope®影像式喉頭鏡插管引起的意外口咽壁穿孔
摘要
我們報告一個接受下咽喉腫瘤切片手術使用GlideScope®影像式喉頭鏡輔助插管引起的意外口咽壁穿孔病例。在插完管後我們發現口咽壁被氣管內管意外的穿過。幸運的是，此病人除了些微的喉嚨痛外並沒有嚴重的後遺症，也不需要接受後續的外科修補治療。這是一個使用GlideScope®影像式喉頭鏡插管可能引起的併發症。我們亦在文章中探討如何減少此併發症的建議。

We report a case in which the GlideScope® video laryngoscope was used to facilitate endotracheal intubation in a patient with a hypopharyngeal mass undergoing direct laryngoscopy and biopsy. After intubation, it was noted that the soft palate had been perforated by the styletted endotracheal tube. Fortunately, there were no sequelae other than minor bleeding and a mild sore throat and no surgical intervention was necessary. This is a report on a rare complication caused by tracheal intubation associated with the use of the GlideScope® video laryngoscope. Strategies to minimize this complication are considered.
