過量的銅處理對水稻初生根生長與脯胺酸含量的影響

Effects of Excess Copper on the Growth and Proline Level of Rice Primary Roots

本試驗以臺中在來一號水稻(Oryza sativa cv. Taichung Nativel)的初生根為材料,探討水稻種子於過量銅逆境下,其初生根的生長趨勢與體內脯胺酸含量的變化。發芽兩天的水稻種子於25℃黑暗恆溫箱中,以系列濃度(0-0.1mM)的硫酸銅溶液處理。經五天銅溶液處理後,水稻初生根的鮮重隨銅處理濃度的增高而下降,但其乾重未受影響,顯示過量銅的處理會降低初生根的吸水能力。水稻初生根的每單位鮮重的脯胺酸含量,未受過量銅處理的影響;每單位乾重的脯胺酸含量,則隨銅處理濃度的增高而降低。水稻初生根尖的脯胺酸含量由根尖往後端降低。過量銅處理,降低水稻初生根脯胺酸含量,主要是作用在根尖(0-6 mm)的部位。此等結果顯示過量銅處理並未誘導水稻初生根累積脯胺酸。

Copper (Cu) exposure affects the growth and proline content in the roots of rice seedlings. Two-day-old rice (Oryza sativa cv. Taichung Native 1) seedlings were subjected to excess copper treatments, and the fresh weight, dry weight, and proline contents were assessed. Excess copper sulfate was imposed on the culture medium for five days. The presence of an excessive amount of Cu reduced the fresh weight of therice roots, but did not affect the dry weight, suggesting that the excess Cu blocked the entry of water into therice roots. The proline concentrations based on the root fresh weight were not affected by Cu exposure. However, the proline concentrations based on the root dry weight decreased with the increase of the Cu concentration. Furthermore, an effect of copper exposure on the decrease of the proline content was observed within the apical 6mm of the primary root. The results suggest that Cu exposure dos not induce proline accumulation in the primary roots of rice seeds.
