聽障成人和溝通夥伴共通參與聽能復健之效益評估

Evaluation of Benefit from Audiological Rehabilitation to the Hearing Handicapped Adults with Significant Others

摘要

聽力損失所造成的聽力障礙，包含溝通困難、情緒、及社會活動參與，不只影響聽障者本身，亦包含與聽障者共同生活的溝通夥伴。本研究之目的為評估聽障成人和溝通夥伴共同參與聽能復健之效益。使用受試者自我評估問卷量表，以瞭解聽障者及溝通夥伴於選配助聽器且進行聽能復健諮商課程後，自覺聽力與溝通障礙程度是否有改善。進一步探討有溝通夥伴共同參與聽能復健，是否更有助於聽障者適應聽力障礙問題及改善溝通困難。研究對象為50歲以上初次選配助聽器之聽障者及溝通夥伴，共計30名。實驗組為聽障者10名及溝通夥伴10名，共同參與助聽器選配及聽能復健諮商。對照組為聽障者10名，自行前往選配助聽器及進行聽能復健諮商。聽障者及溝通夥伴分別於配戴助聽器前及配戴後三個月施測量表，二次量表測試期間需回診追蹤及諮商。研究結果顯示，無論是否有溝通夥伴陪同，聽障者在配戴助聽器及進行聽能復健諮商後，自覺聽力障礙程度均有改善。有溝通夥伴陪同之聽障者，在情緒方面的困擾改善程度較高，且整體自覺聽力障礙程度有顯著改變的人數較多。溝通夥伴陪同參與聽能復健後，對於溝通改變、情緒反應調適、及對夥伴的關懷等方面的困擾有顯著改善。因此建議臨床專業人員為聽障成人選配助聽器後，應提供聽能復健諮商課程，且鼓勵聽障者與溝通夥伴共同參與。

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the benefit from hearing aid fitting and audiological rehabilitation to the hearing handicapped adults, as well as with significant others. Thirty subjects aged above fifty years-old are included in two groups. There are ten adults with hearing impairment and ten significant others in the experiment group who attended hearing aid fitting and audiological rehabilitation classes together, and ten adults with hearing impairment in the control group attended on their own, this is, without significant others. Self-assessment scales were completed prior to the hearing aid fitting and three months later, respectively. The results indicated that a significant reduction in hearing handicap following class participation was measured across all hearing handicapped adults, and the greater reduction in handicap was measured for subjects who attended the classes with their significant others. The significant others were also beneficial in the factors of communication changes, emotional reactions, and concern from partners after participating the audigical rehabilitation programs with their hearing handicapped partners. Therefore, it is recommended that hearing handicapped adults as well as their significant others to join together to participate professional audiological rehabilitation programs after hearing aid fitting.
