摘要

本論文關心的焦點在扼要地考察當前台灣原住民祭儀的現況，並從其中檢視它變遷的背景、意義與影響。
首先，我們先對祭儀在傳統原住民社會、文化與生活中的功能進行描述，了解祭儀在不同層次上對原住民個人或群體存在的意義。
其次，我們將回顧近百年來原住民祭儀崩解的過程。
再其次，我們要針對民國七十年代以後，原住民主體意識的覺醒、部落復振運動的展開，觀察傳統祭儀在部落再生的情況，並探討其走向舞台、劇場所面臨的問題和挑戰。
最後，我們將當前原住民祭儀正在發生的新現象，放回到整體原住民文化復振與創造性脈絡來評估，分析它發展的一些新的可能性，並檢討它對台灣文化的衝擊與價值。

The goal of this essay is to investigate the current state of the Taiwanese Aboriginal ceremonial rites and to study its historical backgrounds, meanings and influences. First, we will discuss the functions of ceremonial rites in traditional aboriginal society, culture and life, in order to understand the meaning of the ceremonies to the individual aborigines and the group as whole on different levels. Secondly, we shall look, at the process of breakdown of aboriginal ceremonial rites in the last 100 years. Thirdly, we will discuss about the revival of the aboriginal consciousness and the tribal revival movement in the 1980s, and observe the revival of the traditional ceremonial rites in the tribes with the problems and challenges facing the ceremonial rites for stage and theater performances. Lastly, we will discuss about a new phenomenon in the aboriginal ceremonial rites and compare it with the entire aboriginal cultural revival and innovation movement to put it into perspective. We will analyze some possible new developments in the area and discuss about the new impacts it may have on Taiwanese culture.
