摘要

隨著資訊科技的發明與進展，企業今日面臨的環境與過去有相當大的差異，企業必須充分運用資訊，創造競爭優勢。正如觀察家所言，「二十一世紀是知識產業的世紀」，資訊與知識正改變著企業競爭的規則與版圖。瞭解現代管理環境之特質、組織與環境之關係、與組織處理資訊之相關理論對將服務於企業界從事資訊服務與知識管理者十分重要。本文說明現代管理環境的三種主要特質，闡述組織與環境的三種關係，並進一步從資訊處理的角度探討資訊在組織中的角色，組織資訊處理的相關理論，以及組織資訊利用的三種模式如何影響組織學習與知識管理的思考。

This articles describes the environment and its relationships with modern organizations, and explores the information management issues for knowledge-based organizations based on the information processing theories and information use models in business settings. The paper argues that the understanding of information environment and information use concepts is fundamental to knowledge management and those who will provide business information services should be well-informed about the nature of the modern business environment and the role of information and its management.
