As distributed leadership has attracted increasing attention in the education field, the number of related studies is rising. However, both domestic and international studies have rarely been conducted on preschool education. In view of that private preschools are more than public preschools in Taiwan, this preliminary study intends to understand the development of distributed leadership in various educational stages and analyze the possible factors that affect preschools' development of distributed leadership, thereby formulating a more comprehensive distributed leadership blueprint. This study conducted literature analysis and interview for data collection to understand the current status and future prospect of distributed leadership development in preschools in Taiwan. Based on the analyzed data, this study established the visionary goals for distributed leadership development in the local context of Taiwan. According to the research results, recommendations were proposed for relevant studies in the future.
