佐藤春夫〈旅人〉論-以敘述與真實性為中心

A Study of SATO Haruo's Work Traveler: Reality in a Fiction as Main Topic

摘要


東方主義這概念影響到日本近代文學研究,使得進行各種作品重新理解。特別是自從大正時代到昭和時代的文學家中,以「支那趣味」為重點的作家之間的連貫。其作者,除了谷崎潤一郎、芥川龍之介、木下杢太郎之外,也有本論文的對象作家佐藤春夫。這些「支那趣味」的作家中,佐藤春夫唯一來過台灣,也發表以台灣旅行為素材的作品。其台灣作品的研究傾向,最近台灣民族主義(Natoinalism)、意識形態等台灣文學的脈落來思索的研究逐漸增多,然而這些研究中較為忽略「支那趣味」的連貫中佐藤春夫的定位、其旅行者的觀點。因此,本論文以佐藤春夫的台灣作品中的作品之一〈旅人〉為對象,思考其旅行者的視線與其東方主義。〈旅人〉這短篇為佐藤自從1920年8月19日至21日的日月潭一帶的旅遊為素材,是具有小說似的虛構性兼旅行文學的真實性的短篇作品。由第一人稱的敘述者〈我〉來敘述,充滿著旅人的觀點。本論文首先分析此文本的結構,基於這分析的結果探討〈支那趣味〉的作家佐藤春夫如何凝視台灣,呈現台灣。

The thought Orientalism have influenced to study of Japanese modern literature largely. Specially, under influence of this thought, ”Chinoiserie” became a keyword in the studies of the works from Taisho period to Showa period, and argued the connection of novelists around this word. In those studies, the writers who picked up is TANIZAKI Junichiro, AKUTAGAWA Ryunosuke, KINOSHITA Mokutaro, and SATO Haruo. SATO Haruo is a only one writer who visited Taiwan, wrote some works about Taiwan. These works is tend to be discussed from Taiwan literature context like Taiwan nationalism or ideology in these days, but these studies almost missed his original position in the connection of some ”Chinoiserie” writers, the unique narratives in his works and his point of view as a traveler. This paper pick up his short work Traveler (TABIBITO) that include fictional element and documentary element. A motif of this work is his travel to Taiwan around Sun-Moon lake from 1920 August 19h to 21st. This work is a first person narrative, and filled with the viewpoints of a traveler. In this paper, I focus on the narrative and his viewpoints, analyze this text, and discuss the Japanese writer SATO Haruo how to describe Taiwan and Taiwanese.
