本研究的主要目的是在探討家長參與學校教育的性別差異性,以「家長信念」(包括「性別角色態度」、「學校民主氣氛知覺」與「價值觀」)和「人際關係」兩類變項作為中介變項,進一步參照了路徑分析方式,建立一個因果模型,來探討造成其性別差異的影響因素為何。本研究以問卷方式對1262位高雄縣市國小學生家長做調查。資料統計分析上使用了因素分析、多元迴歸和路徑分析等方法。 主要研究結果發現如下: 1.無論父親或母親,對於學校教育的參與均不普遍; 2.父親與母親在不同面向的學校教育參與有明顯的差異性; 3.本研究運用「家長信念」和「人際關係」兩類中介變項所建立之因果模型,對於家長參與學校教育的性別差異性之解釋獲得部分支持,即父母親在學校教育參與的差異表現,部分可歸因於其在家長信念與人際關係有所差異。最後,根據研究發現,研究者提出對性別平等工作之推動、學校經營實務與進一步研究的具體建議。
The main purpose of this study was to investigate the gender differences in parental involvement toward children's school. Parent's belief , including ” the attitude of gender role ”, 'the awareness of school democratic atmosphere ” and ”values”, and interpersonal relations were used as intervening variables, to explore the factors that affected such differences by questionnaire among 1262 parents of elementary school children in Kaohsiung county and city. The statistical methods, consisting of factor analysis, multiple regression and path analysis, were adopted to analyze the research data. The major findings were as follows: (1) It's not common for fathers and mothers in participation of schooling. (2) There is significance difference between fathers and mothers about performance of parental involvement. (3) The results of this study partially supported the causal model of the gender differences in parental involvement. Finally, according to the results, the researcher gives further relative suggestions about promotion of gender equality, school management, and future studies.
