本研究探討已婚女性的不連續就業經驗,透過訪談二十一位在中小學代課的已婚女性教師,研究者發現已婚女性的工作生涯迥異於男性線性生涯的發展模式,這種時斷時續的就業歷程,讓已婚女性無法累積工作經驗,並影響了日後的工作選擇。本研究希望能將婦女就業相關問題之探討焦點從女性角色衝突的討論延伸到結構的批判分析。 研究者以代課教師的就業經驗為例分析已婚女性不連續就業現象的背後所蘊含的社會機制,得到以下兩點結論:(一)來自家庭與勞動市場兩個結構面向所形成之「拉」、「推」力量是造成已婚女性的不連續就業;(二)已婚女性的人力資本影響其工作選擇,然而性別角色的社會建構影響其人力資本的累積。
This research attempts to analyze how married women have broken career development pattern and to explore how the partriarchy constrains women's career development. Married women's career development are usually intervened by their marriage and child-care tasks. Focusing on life experiences of female substitute teachers, the researchers discuss how all related social structural factors, including job opportunities of the labor market, human capital and gender politics, affect the married women's employment.
