How are Gifted Students Thinking about "Speed"

摘要


本研究旨在探討兩位國小四年級資優生,對於有關速率問題的解題表現。在此個案研究中,為探究個案的解題想法,以其解題完畢之工作單為基礎進行訪談。本研究呈現之工作單問題共有3種,以三角校正方式探討個案之確實解題想法。本研究最主要的發現:二位個案在解決數學問題上,表現出各自的卓越直覺能力。研究者經由分析他們的解題表現,找出個案學生各自的特殊解題策略,而這些策略也許可以提供學校數學教師教學上的良好資源。

The purpose of this study was to investigate the performance of two gifted fourth graders' mathematics problem solving. For this case study, interviews were used to probe out the thinking of the two subjects after they completed a task involving three velocity problems. To explore their problem solving performance, a triangulation technique was ad opted. This study showed that the two gifted subjects had excel lent intuitive insight in mathematics problem solving. From the analysis of their problem solving, the authors found there could be two significant strategies extracted from their problem solving performance. These strategies may be good resources for school teachers of mathematics.
