Jatropha curcas L. was recently found to be infested by the broad mite, Polyphagotarsonemus latus (Banks), with the new leaves became malformed. This records a new pest to Jatropha curcas, and a new host plant to broad mite. The habitat and symptoms on Jatropha curcas caused by the broad mite were described and discussed with those caused on other host plants.
