摘要

私人藏書有其既定之脈絡與意涵，而這樣的脈絡包含著書籍擁有者個人的思想詮釋，除表現於書籍的選擇上，更體現於書籍所呈現的分類與排列順序。目前各典藏單位對於私人捐贈圖書的管理過於重視「捐贈」意涵之呈現，相較捐贈者之生平、捐贈之動機及使用書籍時保留其中的「思維」卻未具體描述與保存，闕而弗如，對於研究相同領域的閱讀者而言，失去了藉由書籍擁有者對於其所典藏書籍的分類與擺放順序，進一步地瞭解其對於該書的想法與思維的機會。本文即焦注私人藏書的原始架構對於呈現原擁有者的思維脈絡的重要性進行探討，整理國內外相關文獻，分析我國文化典藏單位對於私人捐贈藏書的管理方式，並針對現行方式提出質疑與建議，以茲相關單位參考。

Private book collections are endowed with specific contexts and meanings, which include the collector's own interpretations displayed in the selections, classifications and arrangement of books. Collecting institutes tend to overemphasize the meaning of ＂donation,＂ without probing into the specific descriptions and preservations of the collected items. This negligence thus prevents the researchers from further understanding the contexts of how books are classified. This essay looks into the contextual framework of original management of private book collections by sorting out related literature and analyzing the management models. Consequently, the research also provides certain inquiries and recommendations for the collecting institutes.
