由原住民民族學院之設立談台灣原住民民族文化之發展

摘要

2001年原住民民族學院首創於原住民原鄉之一的花蓮，東華大學由於民族文化學系、民族語言與傳播學系、民族發展所之設立，加上既有之族群關係與文化所，以及將成立之民族藝術所，逐步發展成爲原住民民族文化與藝術所發展之重鎭。茲分下列各項來看民族學院這發展與民族地區社會發展之關係：
一、學院成立與多元文化發展及原住民文化自覺之關係

1．加強民族學院與師培機構專業之課程
2．建立民族教育學程民族文化教師
3．原住民學校優先聘任具教師資格之民族文化教師
4．民族教育學程之設立
六、學院與相關機構之關系
1．與教育部及原住民委員會之關係：諮詢、執行
2．學術交流、經驗交換：台灣人類學相關系所、大陸少數民族研究、美國、加拿大、澳洲、日本、法國相關單位之學術交流活動

The College of Indigenous Studies has been implementing curriculums since its establishment in 2001. This paper explains the relationship between the college and the development and preservation of indigenous arts and cultures from the following six dimensions:
1. Foundation of the College with a Multicultural Approach and the Subjectivity of Indigenous Peoples
2. The College and the Tribes or the Communities
3. New Academic Courses in the College
4. New Research Areas of Ethnic Studies in the College
5. Preparation and Training of Teachers for the Indigenous Education
6. Relationship between the College and Other Related Institutes
This academic College provides long-term and professional training in Indigenous cultures and arts. The designs of the ethnic garden, stadium, theater, museum and restaurant emphasize the applications of the indigenous cultural knowledge for the public and create opportunities for the indigenous tribes or communities.
