提升化學治療病患飲食認知之專案

A Project of Improving Cancer Patients 'Dietary Knowledge of Chemotherapy

摘要


背景:化學治療是癌症病患最常接受的治療方式之一,然而,當藥物引起的副作用無法緩解而影響進食時,會降低病患對化學治療的順從性與配合度。目的:本專案的目的為提升病患對於化學治療之飲食認知的正確率,以降低副作用所造成的傷害,進而增進治療的配合度及自我照顧的能力。解決方案:(1)製作化學治療病患飲食認知衛教手冊(2)製作化學治療病患飲食認知護理指導之標準流程(3)護理活動交班卡增加化學藥物給藥護理紀錄的使用(4)定期舉辦化學治療病患飲食認知團體衛教。結果:經改善措施實施後,病患對化學治療期間飲食認知之正確率從29.9%提升到72.5%,期望未來對需要接受化學治療病患有所幫助。結論:此專案經驗可應用於臨床上相關之病患。增加化學治療病患及家屬,對化學治療所出現副作用時在飲食訊息選擇時該注意的事項,並減少病患及其家屬之擔憂,而選擇合宜的處理方法。

Background: Chemotherapy remains one of the main treatments on cancer patients. However, drug-related side effects, including eating problems, will reduce patient's willing to accept chemotherapy. Purpose: This project was to reduce side effects of chemotherapy on patients suffering from cancer by educating them with dietary knowledge of chemotherapy. Therefore, patients were expected to act in compliance with chemotherapy and improved their ability to take care of themselves. Strategies: (1) Releasing dietary hygienic brochures of chemotherapy; (2) writing standard operating procedure in relation to nursing guidance of dietary knowledge regarding chemotherapy; (3) adding drug records on chemotherapy to nursing activity card; (4) educating chemotherapy patient groups with dietary knowledge periodically. Results: After the implementation of improving strategies of chemotherapy, the average score for the accuracy of dietary knowledge on chemotherapy patients was from 29.9 to 72.5. Conclusions: To educate cancer patients and their families with chemotherapy dietary knowledge will reduce their anxieties and further improve their compliance with chemotherapy.
